SAGE Art Business Micro loan Program

Open Now

Sweet Auburn Green & Equitable (SAGE) District and Capital ONE are excited to launch the SAGE Art Business Microloan Program designed to support artists and creative entrepreneurs in Atlanta, GA by providing access to capital alongside education, mentorship, and long term support, tools that are often out of reach for creatives operating small businesses.

What is a Microloan and Why does it Matter?

A micro loan is a small, flexible loan designed to help entrepreneurs make strategic investments in their businesses without the barriers typically associated with traditional lending. For creatives, this can mean access to funds for materials, equipment, workspace, marketing, or professional services, without predatory interest rates or unrealistic repayment expectations.

Many creatives operate informally or have limited access to traditional financing due to income variability, lack of credit history, or past financial challenges. This program is intentionally structured to address those gaps. Loans are low-to-no interest, and prior credit history will not hinder participation. Instead, the program is designed as an opportunity to improve credit standing while strengthening your practice as a small business owner.

To participate, creatives must have an LLC in good standing, reinforcing the program’s goal of helping creatives formalize, stabilize, and grow sustainable enterprises.

Program Overview

Designed specifically for creatives, the SAGE Art Business Microloan Program combines low-barrier microloans with 20 hours of hands-on business education, mentorship, and visibility opportunities, empowering artists to invest confidently in their working long-term sustainability.

This initiative is part of the Sweet Auburn Green and Equitable (SAGE) District’s commitment to supporting local creatives as essential drivers of culture, community, and economic vitality.
